Imported van comprehensive insurance

Hi , anyone tried and succeeded in getting full comprehensive insurance for an imported van

ive got to try a few more company's , but no luck so far......... It's got all the certificates etc , just they have a clause saying no to imported stuff ( cars too ) even though they're comply and are au registered etc

any thoughts ?
