Closed campsites - Camps 6/7

Each year in April I download the updates to my copy of Camps 6.  Looks like I wont need to do this again next year because judging by the number of places that are closed the book will no longer be a 400 page spirel book - it will be a pocket size booklet. Almost 60 closed and many more have had facilities downgraded   Incidentially, the updates I downloaded are available to anyone as an excel file - just email me and happy to flick a copy if anyone needs to update their fav sites ....... probably no longer there!!!!

Cheers

yeah - Wikicamps is our preferred resource, however, we keep the old CAW6 updated as there are always sites on one that are not updated on the other.  Would not pay the ridiculous amount of money however to get the new copy of CAW or their mobile App  - once they stop providing the updates to 6 will be when I stop using it.  Looking forward to the release of the windows version of Wikicamps - whenever they get it all sorted out that is!!!!!

Cheers

Hi Beth - the Windows version is actually a PC version, so if you have a laptop or such, you will be able to download to that which personally I would prefer at home. It has been in the pipeline for some time now, so who knows when it will be a done deal!!!  I am not sure I would like to have it on something as small as an iPhone but on a tablet it is bearable and useable. Some people have said they can not get in on the iPhone - never had such an animal - don't have or want internet on my phone - if someone wants me they can email or phone me.

Hope you are feeling OK with things - will email you soon to catch up

Cheers

Libby

Ah I see. Yes, I guess the laptop would be better. I only have the laptop and the phone, which I also use as a navigator. I don't think I'll be getting a tablet. Only another techno gadget to charge/break down/ cost me a small fortune. biggrinwink

I have the wiki on my tablet galaxy 3 but seem to have trouble trying to find camp sites. I must admit I am not very savvy with technology though

I have a tablet and find using it adventure, Wiki Camps is working OK but to have the paper version to back you up is good. But it would be good to find camps that are not know by the multitudes with there mess.
