Get a good bow saw and then your beau can do the wood cutting.
Or a cross cut if you want to help.

I Have recently bought one of the Aldi eletric chain saws for the caravan and I am so impresed with it I have been using it to cut up fallen boughs around our bush block in preference to our petrol chain saws.

We have a 36v makita chainsaw, absolutely brilliant, quiet fast and very powerful for an electric one. Had it for 2 years, along with other makita power tools, you can cut wood for a fire and no one knows. No smells noise or pollution.

Well, ya learn something new every day. I was unaware of chainsaws powered by batteries. Now that's a handy thing to know.
