FINALLY THE TUG IS OUT OF DRY DOC

Yep, got it back this afternoon and guess what, it starts, yippeeeee.

They tested everything that starts and stops, open and closes or goes in and out. Everything tested up OK.

HOWEVER, when they actually removed the starter motor they found every bolt or screw loose so attached gripper washes and tightened everything up, tested it after heating it up and all good.

After refitting the starter they let the car run for some time and restarted when tried so did this all day and test drive while turning off and on and all good. So now time will tell. So everything pointed  at the starter motor manufacturer fault.

Everything I can cross will be crossed for some time I spose now that things are sorted.

I must say that it felt strange getting back into the tug after 4 weeks, but good and I tell you that for free.

Thanks all and wombat. I visited the twins last night at "That" beach and they are having a ball, bigW.

Now wombat, the other half of a person ?? on this great forum told me last night to "Dump" the twins, can you believe that? Shock horror is all I can say. A mongrel of an idea I reckon.

A slab and a bottle of Vodka, John.

I hope they don't mix the two together though.

Good to hear you are back on the road Doug
Had Lyns rav in for a throttle control sensor and they charged me $1000 for a complete new throttle pedal assembly.

I was lucky with the charge for the Prado Ken, so far and all going well, just hoping that was the problem.

However I had to visit the dentist on Thursday and no change out of $380 after my extras health discount, for one filling and one xray. Boy those dentists know how to charge. There must have been a wounded bull out back.
