Free or low cost camping sites around Quorn in the Flinders Ranges

We're currently in Murray Town and want to move up to Quorn as a basis for further exploration of the Southern Flinders Ranges. Camps 7 and Wikicamps don't identify any free or low cost sites around Quorn and I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Check out Warren George. It is a great site for caravans. The road in is unsealed but we found it very good to travel on.

Willow Waters is a nice spot in the Southern Flinders approx 20 km from Hawker, we stayed o/night a few weeks back, nice camping spots in a great setting.

No facilities so you need to be self contained.

$10 per night.

Mainly to add to the comments already listed. We spent about 6 to7 weeks in that region last year and found both those sites excellent . We also stayed at Rawnsley park for about 7 days and used that as a touring base. Excellent place to stay, camp kitchen and amenities. You can have powered or unpowered sites, we used unpowered and had everything we needed.

Thanks guys. Great suggestions but we've gone and changed our mind. We're now going to free camp at Peterborough for a couple of days before heading up the Barrier highway to Broken Hill - well that's the plan tonight and it could change by tomorrow lunch time confusecryhmm We'll keep your suggestions in mind for the future though.
