Clock Radio with sleep function run on 12v and 240v or invertor

Clock Radio with sleep function run on 12v and 240v or invertor.  I thought it would be good to be able to have a radio in the caravan with a sleep function button like the radio alarm clock we have at home.  My female logic tells me that somehow it should be possible to use a 240v and run it through an invertor, but I don't' get a good reception when I took the one from the house and tried it in the caravan.  Obviously one needs a car radio player like is in the caravan, but can't one of you clever fellows come up with an idea.

Don't get me wrong, I like the sounds of the bush or the ocean or the birds when travelling, but just sometimes, in a caravan park (when one has to be) or other times would like to have the option.biggrinconfuseIdeas please

Can I suggest you repeat this post in the General section bandm, where it will be seen by more people.

I tried running an electric clock-radio in a house with solar panels and very big batteries, and it flattened the batteries overnight!

Maybe buy a battery radio, and good luck in getting one with good reception, ours is nowhere as good as the one in the car. And get a cheap battery clock.
