Permanent Cabin in a park as a base

Anyone with a cabin on a park as a base?  Could you please let me know where and approximate costs and restrictions please.

I have a friend thinking of this as an option and I offered to get more info for her.

Thanks

Tess

We have been thinking this maybe an option, rather than the 'villages' that take half your money when you want to sell.
Will be looking at your replies with interest.

Cost is about $140 a week plus elec. If your friend decides to buy make sure they do their homework on the park. I managed a park of mainly permanents and let me tell you no matter how good the park some "Trailer Trash" seem to sneak in

You could also look for a small property in the country somewhere central, many are going really cheap, some have houses or sheds. We have friends who did that, sold up in Melb and bought a small block with a couple of sheds on the edge of a little town. They put up a big shed, park their bus in it and also live in it when they are there. Have a big lounge, kitchen with combustion stove, laundry and connect their toilet and shower in the bus into it. They have lovely neighbors who keep and eye on things, as they only spend a few weeks a year there at different times. It's solar powered and their rates are very low.

Depends on your finances, we've seen good homes in the bush going for less than $50000 and you can buy an old pub or shop even cheaper. With a bit if thought there are many opportunities to get what you want and need, all you have to do is look for them.

To my mind, getting a permanent site in a van park, is not that cost effective as you just spend your money when you are not there, have no privacy or own anything and can be moved out any time they like.
