My wife and I are looking at a Coromal Princeton van a couple of years old but we have heard that Windsor Caravans are made by Coromal. If this is the case which would be the better buy as the Windsor van seem a little cheeper in comparison. Also wondering what the catch is with transfer fees on vans in N S W as the R.T.A web site states that there is no stamp duty on caravans anymore, whats the catch.?????

Actually no catch there bruce, I was surprised to find that when I transferred rego of a caravan last year. Cost me $150.00 or there abouts to transfer the rego of a campertrailer before that however, because it was registered as a box trailer.
Bruce, if you want to ask another question it's better to start a new post, rather than edit your original post to an entirely different subject. It makes it easier to follow the thread and you won't end up with irrelevant replies as mine has now become.. Cheers.

Fleetwood Industries manufacture Coromal & Windsor vans. They also own Camec a major parts supplier to the industry. Coromal & Windsor are built in Perth, but up until about 2 years ago Windsor were built in a separate factory in Melbourne. Before being purchased by Fleetwood Windsor were quite a big player in the industry, but following the purchase sales went into a downward slide that appears to continue to this day. The low sales figures and therefore decreased profits from the brand may have been the reason they closed the Melbourne factory and moved the Windsor operations to Perth. Only they could verify that. ozjohn.

Thanks for that John, would you rate Coromal or Windsor as a good manufacture these days or has there decline started to influence there product in your opinion.

IMHO neither are a good as they once were, but I'd rate the Windsor above the Coromal. However I think you could find much better vans at a similar or lower price. Ozjohn.
