Gday...

confuse Sorry, I have no idea why your pics (or avatar) appears on the forum upside-down. But I certainly can share your frustration if was happening to me.

I am sure there will be someone with 'pooter-smarts' who will come along and help.

However, I do offer the following -

In computing, an avatar (usually translated from Sanskrit as incarnation) is the graphical representation of the user or the user's alter ego or character. It may take either a three-dimensional form, as in games or virtual worlds, or a two-dimensional form as an icon in Internet forums and other online communities. It is an object representing the user. The term "avatar" can also refer to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet use.

Cheers - John

Try sending them upside down to start with and see what happens.

Some image viewers automatically detect when an image needs rotating to present it in the right perspective and rotate the viewed image but not the base image. When the base image is uploaded as a file it may not be rotated leading to your problem. It may just be a matter of grabbing one of the hundreds of image editors available on the web for free and rotating the base image and saving it before posting.

Save this one to your pics, remove the other avatar and load this one, see what happens;

No it does not appear to be only this site - I received some photos from my nephew and his new van by email only to have them arrive upside down, but when I downloaded them, they came up the right way. Thought it was either me or this here dumb computer that's been giving us a few problems of late.
