No Free Camping at Kapunda

I shared this article some time back about Kapunda in SA becoming an RV friendly town.

I just contacted the council about were the camp site only to be informed that while the info in the article was correct at the time of publication, council has since debated the matter and since there is also a commercial caravan park in Kapunda they decided not to allow overnight camping although the dump point is still functional and free.

Thanks for the update D & D, pity about that, at least the dump point is still provided free.

Having stayed at the Kapunda CP a couple of times, it is a great cp to stay at (but try not to park under the pine trees, like the one at Nuriootpa, they drop big pine nuts when windy or the c.o.c.k.atoos are chewing on them...

Kapunda is a very friendly town and worth the stay and visit....

my dad served on the HMAS Kapunda ship at one stage of his navy career ,
I remember going there many times for their reunions, sadly don't think any one left from that
ship..
