Fan-tastic Vent Problem

Hi All,

I have a Fan-tastic 600 Vent in my van. There is a problem with the cover going up and down. I have checked all the switches and wiring. The problem appears to be in the control circuit for up/down lid, the MC 103 PCB. I have trawled the web and can find no circuit diagram. Does anyone have a diagram?

Kevin

First start is take some good clear Macro pictures of both sides of the Circuit board & post here.

Thanks for the reply, I have already been thru those.

Can you post a closeup view of the component side of the board. Although if you are looking for a schematic of the board, it sounds like you know enough to check the most common components likely to cause a problem. With products like this, it's fairly unlikely you'll get a schematic unless someone has sat down and traced out the board.

I'll try to get a photo up. It's got a couple of NAND Scmidt triggers 4 transistors and a voltage regulator to reduce 12v down to about 10v for the motor. There a no open/closed switches it appears to sense a rise in motor current at open/closed position to turn off. There are no relays.

Need pics, the 4 Transistors are probable a H bridge for motor direction F/R. For any attempt to draw the circuit there will need to be clear photos of both sides on the circuitboard.
