Forum reply window

When trying to reply to a forum post my comp opens the window but has no pane for typing the message.. I've no idea why this happened or how to fix.  Any help please.  I'm trying to include an image of what pops up when I click "reply" BTW, this message is from my wife Felicity's computer.. hope it works

thanks for responding Doug;   sad to say the preview button makes no difference.  I tried replying to you via PM on my laptop (where I can receive and read messages OK) without success, so I'm relying on my navigator's machine to get back to you.

Try relogging in , sometimes web sites lock you out so you can`t post if you are not a member, might work?

Have you tried clicking Quote as I have done with this one. It might work better.

Have you tried using another browser to see if the same thing happens?

Hi All and good evening.

I also have been experiencing some trouble answering post. At first I thought it was the new replacement tablet I have but some weird things have happen, after trying to post a reply I find it there the next day, interesting. Cheers.

Thanks for your ongoing interest folks.. this reply, working normally, is using IE, rather than Firefox, my normally preferred browser. I still can't get replies working in Firefox, so can't respond in there to PMs either. I'll just have to keep fussing around until I fluke a repair!

Are all of your Microsoft, Mozilla and flash player updates up to date..

If they are then you may need to uninstall and re install Firefox.. it isn't the first time I have seen this happen and it is usually one of the above items not up to date.smile

Look at the smiley icon's on the left of the page and you will see some have not opened yet, this indicates that the page has not opened yet or your screen has frozen, all to do with your ISP or slow computer, get rid of FF and use Chrome.

Another browser as already suggested by Neil

Thanks again team..

All works OK with IE on my lappy; works OK on Felicity's laptop with FF; forums in other sites work OK in FF; I have removed and reloaded FF; blank emoticons don't open in FF but you can see them open here. All updates are done. As far as I can tell this glitch only occurs during the association between FF and Grey Nomads Forum on my laptopnono.

The mystery continues...

I've been happy during a long association with FF, but to make GN forum replies it looks as though I must go through another browser  .. IE or Chrome, or another computer. I haven't given up yet but must get on with other issues for a while.

Regards  Fried Rice
