The EvaCools I think you are talking about are not the ones with the compressor sticking out one side - they are rebranded generic units that looks like Waecos - I have one exactly the same as the $799 one but from a different importer and a different price.

how does this compare? i don't know about compressor ones or other style.

Yes I have an association with the company but not advertising just sharing for healthy discussion.

It wasn't me but sure I read it was either in Caboolture or Caloundra. They were 2nds with minimal exterior scratches etc.
Sorry I can't remember any more on it.

I bought this 30 litre one recently for the same price shown here, $599, included cover and 12V lead but I paid extra for a 240V lead and transformer. http://www.australiandirect.com.au/buy/30-litre-evakool-travelmate-12v-portable-fridge-freezer/BCD30  Still cheaper than what I paid as it included the 240 lead and transformer, a double 12V adaptor and of course the cover.  Shipping to WA was only $21.

It was on special at Getaway Outdoors at their Balcatta (WA) store where I bought mine, still cheap, included cover but not the 240V transformer or double adaptor, but minus any shipping fee as I collected it.

Thanks Baz ,thats the one.We have a 50 litre waeco but a chap up at Mildura had the 60, so why not ,the old one gets retired to my tinny trips. We use it as a freezer on our trips and before we depart each morning we lay 6 stubbies on the top ! perfect around 3pm after setting up.Unless of course when I forget then its messy. Cheers John
