Easter hols in WA

We'd love to hear of a good spot to "hide" during the Easter hols, inland or north of Perth please?

Just don't hide down any wombat holes Gerty.

I hope you find somewhere quite though but given the season you could be sharing with a few others I reckon.

Maybe Beverley or Bruce Rock CP's?  Maybe York CP?

Close to Perth they have Advent Park (in the camps book) and Camp Wattle Grove, but I think they would probably have Christian gatherings there for the kids during school holidays.....

House sitting is always a good way.  Check this one out.  http://www.housecarers.com/homeowner-profile.cfm?ID=2145617190

You may have to register and pay $55.00, but it may be worth it.  We have now had three "sits" for our $55.00 - well worth the money spent, and cheaper than a caravan park.

Good day Gertie..

Google the website and the van park at Nannup.. we had a super three-night stay there in 2011. About 250 ks southeast of Perth. Around $30/powered.

Travel well!!

I just looked at that one, it would be just perfect for someone wanting to "hide" over Easter in a very satisfying way.

Hi Gerty, think about Goomalling. When we were in the west they were $50 a week at their park if you are pensioners. That was 2 yyears ago so may have gone up a bit but only an hour from Midlands

Very expensive now. Gone up to $75 pw (Sept 2013) For some reason it is always very busy there.

Another place to consider, although a bit further north, is Mullewa. It was $100 pw and is a better park than Goomalling. Also has benefit of full TV reception.

it did used to get busy because of the low prices, there was always a caravan group there at weekends, think they may not go now the cost has gone up that much, maybe new owners.

At $12.50 pn /$75 pw (Pensioner Conc) for a powered site it will still be busy as it would be one of the cheapest parks in Australia.

In Sept last year they give a 50% discount to pensioners ie. $12.50 pn

Just checked the following : http://www.visitgoomalling.com.au/stay/caravan-park and discount is now 40% which equates to $15pn or $90 pw ($150 less 40% disc)

Thank you, suggestions noted. Small towns like Mullewa and Muckinbudin are our favourite kind of place.

Wagin is another.  Council run caravan park is $20.00 per night, or you can stay at the showgrounds for $10.00, power included, but no amenities.
