My Fridge is Fixed

Apparently it was never broken. Took it to Arctic Cold in Hervey Bay today. Spent sometime checking it over, seems it was working ok. So he checked the wiring from fridge through to fuse box. It was loose at the fuse box end and couldn't be tightened, thread must have been worn. Causing the power into the fridge to vary around 10 volts causing the fridge to play up.

Next I took it to the Auto Electrician, as Arctic Cold don't do that bit. So to Pialba Auto Electrician who replaced the fuse box, and all is working how it should be, fingers crossed.

I was very lucky to be able to get it done there and then. $70 for the fuse box $118 in total there and $44 at Arctic Cold.

I have booked in at Pialba Auto Electrician for next Wednesday to get two extra 12 volt outlets installed. One heavy duty for an ARB 47 litre Freezer I have bought. Everything is falling into place for the big trip.

Good one Marj. Now you can keep all the goodies cold or frozen.

You obviously didn't come across that black cat I warned you about.

Pialba Auto electric looked at my aircon last year and the new part was around the $120 mark. He said he thought he had a second hand part down the back and he replaced the broken one with the second hand part and charged me $40 all up including the second hand part. He said he could not guarantee the part but only his work as he did not know the history of the part. Still going strong nearly a year later. So the $40 bucks all up has save me  nearly two hundred.

Fitted me in the same day as well.

Well worth a visit if you need work done.

They fitted me in straight away too, I just went next door to Red Rooster for a drink to fill in the time. Was very pleased with them.
Doug, I think that is far enough away. Don't need any bad luck at the moment. Broke a mirror in the van when I left Vic, so holding my breath on that one.

Glad you got your fridge fixed Marg, seeing as it's a positive outcome do you want to name the company? smile

Now about the mirror, I did warn you about leaving me, didn't I! wink smile

Fridge still going good. Looks like we got it right this time.
Today I had Pialba Auto electrician put in a double heavy duty 12 volt system. So now all ready for my new ARB 47 litre freezer.
All coming together nicely.
