Are you being watched by your T.V. ?

Have you ever wondered if there is a camera hidden inside your T.V. ?

I recently saw that the Softball finals in the U.S.  was watched by so many million, x amount of thousands, and so many hundred people.

How the heck do they know this. ???

Same as the Olympics , again it was stated that x amount of people were watching a certain individual win a certain race. ???

Makes you wonder,.... if a bloke has a bit of Slap and Tickle with SWMBO, on the lounge,

it may appear in some statistic file sometime in the future !!!

Watch-it Folks, "Big Brother" may be watching.  evileyeevileyeevileye

I'm amazed people haven't known about this. All smart TV's are fitted with cams and data loggers that can log viewer habits, and take a snapshot every 10 seconds when activated. This information is used by network entities to adjust programming to suit viewer needs. Apparently it can also glean data embedded in pre-recorded digital media to further predict consumer habits, and to more closely match what people want to see on the box. This function has been given the T.I.C. seal of approval, apparently

The only way that will work in my view, is if the TV is connected to the internet. Which I have no desire to do. Its just like your web cam on your computer may be watching you (if the computer is actualy on) My web cam on my laptop has black tape over it.

"Yep" that's another thing I was concerned about a while back, DeBe,

I did have a camera hanging off the screen of my old desk-top computer,
I noticed, even though I wasn't running a video conversation at the time, and the camera should have been in neutral gear,
the darn thing would flash, as though taking a picture, every time I turned on the computer.
The camera has been thrown away, along time ago.
Black tape is also over my laptop camera.

I tried the blacktape over the camera trick, but all the video just came out with black squares over my eyes????

And re the TV cam, I did say it had the T.I.C. seal of approval.. ;)

Gday...

As I have found to my peril ... perhaps all 'information' posts need to be checked in Snopes initially ...
