Those that know me will know why I joined this great forum so no need to go into it again.
I just thought I would say THANKYOU to everyone here for all the help and advice I have received over the time I have been on board. I have asked a few questions and also asked for help and have always got positive replies from very knowledgable people. I know I probably annoy a few with my sick sense of humour but that's me.
I know I muck around a bit and do a bit of stirring but hey, that's me as well. Thank goodness for the left click of a mouse hey.
Not only have I had great advice, I have met great people, every one one of them and formed great friendships and I feel many of those are life long so again THANKYOU. Yes, even wombats and black cats. Oh all right then and K9's (equal rights). I have been having a few family issues up in Northern Queensland and there has always been a friendly ear to listen to me, they know who they are.
Now all of this wouldn't be possible without a forum and a great webmaster, Cindy. So again THANKYOU Cindy.
Why have I done this post, sorry, I'm not leaving. I just wanted to say what I have as that is how I feel at the moment. There has been some rather negative comments on the forum of late so I thought a positive one was due.

Good on you mate while I haven't asked for help yet I know it will come. But the info I have read has answered most of my questions before I even knew I needed the answer.
Well spoken my friend .I could not have said it better. Having a moment are we .It does us good to say things sometimes as I believe it make us better people and also makes you feel good in yourself..You may have a strange sense of humour..The majority of people like that humour ,so Dougwe mate keep it up and enjoy...When I first met you I thought you were a strange one but after my wife and I spent time with you we definitely believe you to be strange.Don't change my friend ..We need your humour in our lives..

Great comments Dougwe and so true. We've all had to ask for help at times and boy do we get help. A great here on this forum.
I remember when you first started out and joined this forum Dougwe. You've come a long way since then.
I always say "I don't do facebook", but a few days ago, I realised this forum if MY version of facebook. I am a happy member, and grateful for any help I have been given. Have met a few GNs on our travels, and maintained a friendly relationship with those that I have met.
Onya, Dougwe for voicing your feelings.

Take Care with your family problems Doug, they are sure to sort themselves out. I'm obviously a newbie but you have made me feel more than welcome and I see you on a few newbie posts welcoming people which is really nice to feel so welcome. Take care mate. :) I myself have a sick sense of humor so fire away I won't get offended. Just be yourself and just ignore negative comments. They just reflect on the person that makes them not yourself. :)
I often feel guilty as I don't post much but have asked for help quite a few times and always been given it. Family problems can weigh you down Dougie, had a few ourselves, hard to do but just try to keep a sense of humour, and you have a great one, Hope to meet up with you some day. take care.
Good to read your post Doug. I sincerely trust your worries will go away, they all do in time. Hoping to catch up with you at Green Lake in mid March...All the best..Ken.

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Couldn't agree more, Doug. There's a wealth of experience and information available on the GN forum and lots of GNs willing to share it. I too am very grateful for all the advice I've received from a great mob of Aussie travellers.
You were the first GN that I met Doug, and then the ones that I met after you, all agree with me that you are a strange, BUT special bloke mate.
I am privileged to count you as another of my friends, and like Wombat, I too thought you were leaving.....BUGGER, ohh well missed by that much!!
I hope all goes to plan up in Townsville and your daughter manages to get through it all without too many hiccups. With you to lean on, I'm sure she will be fine. Hoping to catch up with you soon mate, maybe at Greens. Cheers....Sarg.
You know, its everyone who make this forum a great community, because it only takes 1 or 2 to start to vent or bully, and the next thing members disappear and we never see them again.
Nomads come back because its welcoming, friendly, tolerant, kind and comical. There's a lot of give and take here.
It takes all sorts, but I'm happy I'm a member too, so thanks Doug.
I have been having a few family issues up in Northern Queensland and there has always been a friendly ear to listen to me, they know who they are.
I hope those people have been listening to you Doug. I have not met you but you sound like you are happy being who you are, as we are all different, holding different values and never seeing things the same as anyone else. Thanks for the positive post
I don't post often but we read the forum everyday and enjoy the comments, as we always say when life stops being fun it is time to move on.

Re: Your new AV GS.
Yep. that vision I had in another thread was accurate. Nothing like a wombat.

Dunmowin - I agree don't 'do' facebook but this has become my FB with lots of lovely people. It's a great forum and there's so much more on this forum to help than FB ever would.
Go Dougwe. Great guy. (The other half says Hi too.)
