Hi there

Just wondering if anyone has the same problem as me and what you did to fix this.

Our Ibis Air conditioner is peeling the manufacturers paint on the outside cowling not sure why this is the unit is reasonably new but not new enough for warranty.

has anyone had to paint theirs if so how did you do it any suggestions please

you can prepare and paint with plastic primer as an undercoat and then do the top coat of your choice but remove the old flaked paint before hand.

I use etching paint, primer, top coat.. Etching paint can be applied from can..

Yep had the same problem I think they had a bad batch a few years back , I bought a new replacement cost about $160
