Heading north again.

image.jpg

Camped for the night beside the Gwyder River outside Bingara.  No facilities but a lovely peaceful spot.  Ah, the serenity.  Couldn't be more peaceful if we were the only couple on earth.

"You lucky People"

There's not much of that lovely green grass over here in the West, all burnt to a crisp.

Have a great trip and take care.

How you goin old mate? I am headed for Bingara next week to stay by the Gwydir. Last time I was there the spot was off a rough track  and not suitable for the Coaster.

Where abouts did you stay as it looks like access was good.

Hi to Sandra

Steve

About 8km out the Copeton Dam road, Steve. The first track down (yellow sign about the danger of possible water rise) is pretty good, the second, very rough. We carried on about 400m past the first camp area once down near the river so that the dogs could have a run & the ground wasn't as rocky.

Thanks Darrell, I think that is the place where I stayed and took the rough track, will try the other one this time.

You have to be wary near the river as it flooded 3 metres the week before I was there without warning and one couple

parked near the bank lost there Van.

Steve

One of the many places I want to visit and I only live on the Sunshine Coast Shame on Me.

When ever someone mentions a good spot I file it away as somewhere to visit Jen

Bingara, south of Warialda in north west NSW. Lovely spot, the only decent track ATM is at the warning sign about River rises just short of a km past the first ramp on Copeton Dam road from Bingara.
