Irrespective of Corby's innocence or guilt, the media circus that crushed and dominated all around the gaol awaiting the pending decision for her release and then created such an obscene hulla-baloo pushing, shoving, disregarding ANYBODY's personal being was nauseating to watch. It made me sick to the stomach as a human being.

Corby has spent 9 years incarcerated as a result of a trial and various appeals. It needs to be remembered that almost every person in a goal anywhere in the world will always continue to plead their innocence.

I do not, despite the melodramatic video posted before on this thread, care whether she is innocent or guilty. After nine years and the efforts of her legal team she has been provided with a parole. If there is a case for further appeals to annul the sentence so be it - just let's not saturate our TVs, radios, internet and newspapers.

The Indonesian Minister clearly stated last Friday that he was considering the parole of 1,700 applications ... there appears to be absolutely no coverage by even the Indonesian media of the other 1,699.

And regarding the Bali 9 ... when was the last time you heard about them ? ? ? Balanced media coverage  ? ?

I wonder, assuming Ch 7 go ahead,if they will be capable of starting the program on time, let alone finishing it on time?

I have a PVR n record majority of shows I like to watch. Even with a 20 minute end buffer, I miss the end of most shows.... I'd reset the buffer, if I could figure out how to!

But I've digressed.

And I won't be watching it

If the program goes to air, I'd be interested in the advertisers. What kind of company (other than the unprincipled commercial media) would want to be associated with a drug trafficker?

No, it doesn't. But what it does assume is that those people who believe she is guilty won't care about the damage that such an association would do to the image of the company and its products.

Only a few on the number of replies have indicated they are not interested in the case and by the number of replies and views on this thread it would appear many are interested to see how this all pans out and perhaps shedding a bit more light on the case in general.

Very simple for those who are not interested in hearing or reading about the Corby case, just don't read the thread, but it appears from the responses and views here that most GN's are, whatever their personal views on Corby. hmm

There are many countries eg the US where a drug conviction prevents entry. What do the Indonesians rule on that?
