We will be heading off in our 5th Wheeler and making our our way to Queensland. No set plans apart from son and his wife having baby late May in Brissie. Planning northern Queensland and eventually to Tamworth for 2015 festival.
This will be our first trip up that way. Last trip was Victoria, SA.
Any suggestions of good camping spots and routes to travel would be appreciated. We keep away from larger populated area and try to concentrate on small communiuties and locations.
Kilcoy Showgrounds are about70ks from nth Bris & a very nice spot. The 7th Day Adventist Caravan park is at Dakabin & closer to Brissy, also Lawnton Show grounds. You do not say which side of Brissy.
WA - north of Perth there are wonderful free camps. Go up via Newman - great roads although the UHF is vital so you have time to get out of the way of 'oversized movements' Most WA overnight camps have dump point, tables, shelter and toilets now. The top end - Tom Price, Middle Gascoyne, Mt Robinson to Katherine is a favourite area for me.

Thanks for advice. Will be staying north of Brisbane and are looking at the 7th Day Adventist camp. having lived in the Pilbara, Kimberly and NT, we have travelled just about every road, on and off road up that way.
