Tanunda, SA to Brisbane Routing/Sites

My wife and I are doing our first big trip to FNQ in June, has anybody got a campsite recommendations and preferred routing between Tanunda, SA and Brisbane. From Brisbane we will then commence our slow crawl up the coast.

Gday...

That will be a good trip ... all in all about 2,000km. Too hard to give you a concise/informed answer as there are too many variables.

Perhaps, given the distance to be covered you would be wise to invest in one or more of the following -

1. Camps Australia Wide Camps 7 (The GN Bible) - this will have heaps of information regarding possible sites to camp;

2. Camps Australia Wide Camps 7 - the app ... visit this site - http://www.campsaustraliawide.com/

3. Wikicamps app for Smartphone etc - Google Wikicamps.

4. This site is very helpful as well - http://www.caravancaravan.com.au/

5. There is always this forum - Free/Budget camp sites - http://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/f474339/freebudget-campsites-suggested-by-our-contributors/

And there are other resources available on the market that could be of assistance.

I hope that has helped in some way.

Oh yeah ... ... and welcome to the forum.

Cheers - and happy and safe travelling - John

Thanks very much for the advice, I had a feeling that their may be too many variables,. I have already invested in the GN Bible which will be a great help. So we will work our way through that.

Cheers

If you are going through Dubbo way, just past Dubbo is a small town Mendooran has a great free camp site within sight if the town and in the banks of the castlereagh river with toilets and a shower(cold)
