Advice Needed: Places that do entertianment

G'Day All!

My name is Steve and for the past two years I've been travelling around, living out of my van and living the dream!

In 2012 I drove all the way around Australia and last year I only went as far as the Kimberley (A beautiful part of the world).

I'm a singer songwriter and have found my niche playing for grey nomads in various places - the grey nomads are normally a fantastic audience and I have had some wonderful experiences playing my music and meeting some great characters.

I'm currently recording my next CD then I'll be off again to try and sell a few. I'm currently in NSW/Vic and I'm not wanting to venture as far as the Territory or WA this year.

If you know of any "grey nomad hot spots" around the place that may benefit from a bit of easy listening music entertainment please let me know as I would love to continue living the dream...

Happy Travels

Steve

Seems to me Greens Lake would be the place to go.

that song was great. I have a Martin as well but need more lessons. Played blues harp for many, many years in Houston. Would love to catch up.

We've met several entertainers on our travels. Some have booked gigs at Caravan parks, some at Nursing homes and a lot just want to have a sing along in their annexe. Whatever you choose to do there will always be people that will enjoy your music. Good luck with that. Cheers Val

Hi Steve I believe that the owner at the opal caravan park in Lightning Ridge gives you a free caravan site if you entertain around the camp fire there but not at the moment wrong time of year to be out there so if you are ever heading that way when it gets a bit cooler give him a call.

Regards
Don

Hiya Steve ..

Good tune .. great lyrics .. and well presented !

Don't look too hard for places .. it will happen when it's time .. and most probably when you least expect it .. expect the unexpected !

Things happen best when you least expect them to ..

(I enjoy singing (non-pro) and last year entered a Recording Studio as part of my "bucket-list" to put down a CD) ..

Last year I just happened to be be singing along with my CD while at a small town called Boomi .. This guy came by and complemented my singing so I gave him a copy of my CD ..

That evening he invited me over to his Van and we spent time with his guitar and warbling a few tunes ..

Before I left, he gave me a copy of his latest double-Cd release .. Thats how I met Paul McCloud and his lovely wife Heli ..

.. so expect the unexpected !!

Great song Steve, don't think you will have much trouble finding an audience.
Live that dream...

Paul Mcleod has his Heartwood Music festival at Easter near Premer, camping avail. Then there's the Boggabri drovers camp, Boggabri NSW. Camping as well. Both good venues. Paul has walkups every night.
