Sitting in Strahan

Just another quick update folks, after spending 3 nights in Waratah and visiting cradle Mountain etc as previously reported we pulled up stumps and headed towards Strahan. We are currently camping at the golf club $10 p/n no showers but a toilet is available 24/4 and free showers in town however we are covered as we have the ensuite. It was hot here yesterday 31deg upon arrival so after setting up we headed to the club for happy hour which turned out to be 3hrs of happy hours hehe, exited very relaxed and refreshed thanks to $3.50 beers biggrin.

Today is a little different OK a lot different 18 deg and showers but I am still in the shorts, t-shirt and crocs. Tomorrow will be setting off on a Gordon River cruise so will hopefully get a few pics and post an update.

Take everyone

Take everyone? Wot now? Sounds like a nice relaxing time down where the apples grow (and grapes and hops), soaking up the atmosphere. The cruise sounds great too. What a life!

Sounds great Garry, enjoy the GR cruise. Truly amazing cruise and I just loved Sarah Island on the way back.

Keep enjoying over there in the wild west.

We quite liked Strahan. The Gordon River Cruise was terrific. Strahan reminded me of Cabot Cove and half expected Jessica Fletcher to come cycling past us. We had a great meal out on the point at some club, can't think of the name of it.

We both hope to go back one day and do the big Tassie trip.
