Lmao - yeah, GN's are no good, every community needs more drunken/drugged ferals and hoons, they contribute so much more to society........

Maybe, if we do hear something like this about 'us' we should introduce ourselves to the people making the comment and have a chat, do what we can to show our true colours.

Hi Red Dog and all. Conversations in the same vein have been made in the presence of my alpha dog and I can tell by the tone of the peoples voice they are ......well.... stupid because my alpha dog paid more taxes during his working life than those thunder jaws ever earned. not only that OP but me and that good looking relo of mine on your avatar have got top lips really good for curling up at those people. Yip yip hoowwwllll.

I  like that idea...  a friendly  little talk might help to educate some people.

I reckon they only whinge cos they are jealous, but then not everybody's the same, maybe they've seen a campground after a "big-weekend" and blamed the older travellers.

Us Nomads have earned our retirement. We've worked hard. I've lived in Oz since 1980, I've worked from then until I reached 64 when I retired. There are some in our area where we live who have never worked a day in their lives. I'm proud of my effort. Proud to be Grey Nomad.

Cheers Val

Thats not all....... One lot said that Grey Nomads are people driving around waiting to die.

But then again some of us do it on the cheap...........

We've recently put motorbike ( trike, sidecars & solos ) riding on the back burner to focus on seeing whats out there by caravan.
There is a local charity ride that starts & finishes at the local golf club. Riders buy breakfast before we go. Then buy a drink or meal at the end of the day. Plus the entry fee goes to charity.
At the end of the last ride there was a table of golfers making loud negative comments." These bikies shouldn't be allowed in here". One of our number had heard enough. He said something to the effect." We spend more money here in one day than you old buzzards spend in a year. The golf club is a business, not your home". Cheers from all directions.
Looks like we've traded one disreputable group for another.
The blissfully ignorant & ill-informed are often the loudest voices.
As the Ulysses Club motto says " Grow old disgracefully".
