Lake Lacelles Hopetoun

What a beautiful place. Right on the lake, fairly level sites, water, power and excellent amenities. $15pn. Free camping further around the lake if you wish. Lovely little town, not a lot here but a nice lunch in the café and if it was not so hot there would be some nice drives around. Great place.

Caravan park is near by, $20pn, but would not even bother really. This is just superb. Five stars.

If it wasn't so hot I'd come over for a visit. 43 every day till Tuesday.

we were there two weeks ago, cold nights, beautiful sitting around the fire, watching the ducks on the lake, so so relaxing

Great place Sharon. Last time we stopped there we had a 46degree day.

The lake was great that day.

Not so flash if it is wet/been wet. Very little hard standing in the free camping area, which leading up to Anzac long weekend left the area very very muddy. By the long weekend it was starting to dry out, but rain overnight on the Monday/Tuesday (Anzac day) only added to it. Despite the large numbers in attendance, both in the paid areas and also the free camping, the seemingly very low attendances at both the dawn service and the later service on Anzac day was somewhat disappointing.
