led lighting

I recently replaced my old HOT halogen lights with LED. The cost can be quite expensive however at Ideal Electrical (Browns Plains QLD) they can be purchased for a lot less than price of the major retailers. EG: $16.00 - $18.00 for one LED two pin light in Camec, Jaycar and Jayco Spares, as opposed to $5.00 - $7.00 for the same item at Ideal Electrical.

Led Lights are the better way to go BUT ....

1 - Be weary of elcheapo ones as they produce noise

( not the noise you can hear but the noise that knocks out everything wireless)

No TV, No wireless reversing camera, no internet and limited phone coverage. Some Led lights can be horrendous for producing noise.

2- Any really small led lights that boast the 7 + Watts will produce heat, They are either not true 7 or 10 watts , Or if they are they wont be able to get rid of the excess heat fast enough.

3- Go for wide angle leds rather than the spot ones , All you end up with is glare and shadowing.

Lastly , If camping outside of the grounds or the neighbor in the park not as friendly then have a look at the "Titan Night Owl "  Perfect for keeping the outside well lit without draining the batteries as it uses 12 volts.
