You are correct Dick0

Henry Sutton (4 September 1855, Ballarat, Victoria 28 July 1912 Melbourne) was an Australian designer, engineer, and inventor credited with contributions to early developments in electricity, aviation, automobiles, television, wireless communication, photography and telephony. He was highly influential in all those fields and more. Read the full run-down on Wikipedia:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Sutton_(inventor)#Melbourne

I first heard of him last week at Federation University, Ballarat (a successor to the Ballarat School of Mines) where he is revered as an alumnus of the Uni. A definite almost unknown hero of science and invention.

Over to you Dick0

It sure is Stew.

It seems only a handful of us are capable of answering these posts.

I do sometimes wait a while for others to have a go.

So, who is next Stew.

Ron Blaskett was born on 13 April 1922 in Brunswick, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

He was an actor, known for Sleigh Bells (1958), Merry Make Believe (1959) and Mari-Anne (1963).

He was married to Merle June Capper. He died on 14 April 2018 in Bulleen, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Ron Blaskett and Gerry Gee were a famous Australian ventriloquist act who appeared on television from the 1950s through the 1970s.

Thanks, Dick0. He was a tough one. The ventriloquist clue nailed it, though I still wasn't sure.

Here is an Australian entertainer in his younger days:

Sorry about the watermark across his face.

It would have to be Princess Panda - Joan Dorothy Kelly - Panda Lisner notable on the Tarax Show and other Channel Nine shows. Your clues seem to fit well.

It is indeed Philip Crosbie Morrison. You were quick to pick that one, 67HR

Philip Crosbie Morrison (19 December 1900 1 March 1958) was an Australian naturalist, educator, journalist, broadcaster and conservationist. I remember him from the mid 1950s when I and my older siblings used to sit on the floor in front of the family's large radiogram in the lounge room listening intently to everything he said about the natural world. He was just known on 3DB as Crosbie Morrison.

Over to you, 67HR.
