Hi if you have a computer that prompts you to upgrade iTunes to the latest upgrade version 11.1.4 DONT.
I did and have lost iTunes and keep getting error messages. I have been online to some iTunes forum and it seems to be a software glitch that Apple needs to sort and fix. Till then just stay with the version you have. Seems to have affected lots of users worldwide.
If it gets fixed in the next few days I might hopefully get my music back.
That's good for you but I tried the same and it just goes back to the error messages. Have uninstalled three times now and in the order suggested and reinstalled with the same problems. I might have to get my son to take a look.
Thanks for the heads up. Seems to be widespread and would no doubt affect my Windows 7 64-bit laptop.
I'll wait for the next update as this one also has security issues as well.
Thank you for the tip off, will be on the look out and be following this thread.
Maybe one of you might have clue for me.
I have all my music on my lap top, very proud of my collection and the way I have it connected to stero player, great fun setting off to play random songs from my various 500 or so albums but my lovely old computer is getting slow and I would like to store my music some where as a back up, like a external hard drive.
I lack the know how to doit and I am getting concern that one day my very old friend is going to say enough is enough. Radar
Maybe I should of put this in that otherpage, I guess some one will tell me.

Yuglamron, after you do the uninstall try turning your computer off for 30 secs and then re-install this may help.

Can't you just get an external HDD and backup to that? I have my 1500+ albums backed up to an external HDD and also on an old XBOX which is used as a juke box up in my shed, through an old 70's Marantz amp. I use Media Monkey to manage the collection, which allows you to edit tags and add covers etc to the mp3 file.
I will give that a try when I am near my computer in a day or so, will let you know how I went with saving my music data.
At first it was not a big thing having my music on the computer but now I have digitised about 40 albums and lot more to go, a crash is not what I want. Thank you for the advice. Cheers.
