Am I right as far as directions go. At Brookton turn right to Pingelly. Go through Pingelly and Laze Away is somewhere on the left (or is it right) a few kilometres along the road?

Vic. All I have is meat. I keep away from salads and veges if Kathy is not there to force feed me. biggrin

Yes you will come to Popanyinning store/mini mart/takeaway/PO first on your right, then continue on the same road (Gt Southern Hway) south for a few kms (cant remember how many) and you will see the Lazeaway CP sign on your left.

Suggest you see if you can make any last minute mobile phone calls either at Pingelly or maybe the Popanyinning Store before you get to Laze Away.   Not sure about the store, but no mobile coverage at Lazeaway.   Suggest give Kathy the Lazeaway office land line number in case she needs to contact you urgently..... The Lazeaway office is the farm house you come to first set back off the road.

OK Got it now. Its on the right a few kms down the road from Yornaning.

I'll be leaving Perth on Friday morning at 10. I guess its about a 3 hour trip, so I should be there by 1.

Oops missed your last post Vic. I gave Kath the number. I'll give it to Brendon as well.

Vic41, what was the plural in saladS? I did write salad (singular). SWMBO makes a mean potato salad and I'll get her to not place the bacon bits in it.

Just the one Bob, sorry I didn't read it properly, we all can do the same to share if we want salad, don't worry too much about the bacon bits in it, might spoil the recipe and taste, best to stick with what you like best, but thanks.

For those coming to Popanyinning from the Narrogin end of the Gt Southern Highway, you go north through Cuballing and about 10 kms on you will see will see the Yornaning sign on your left, keep going north and Lazeaway CP is about another 5-10 kms on the right, is well signposted.  If you reach Popanyinning Store and PO you have gone too far, that is further north...

Only if you are coming from the Narrogin/Cuballing end.

If coming south from the Brookton/Pingelly end it is on the left a few kms past the Poppanyinning Store/PO.  If you reach the Yornaning Dam turn off on that route you have gone too far......the Cp is well signposted.....

I am happy with that too (BBQ) best if just bring what those attending want themselves, some have different diets etc.   Which route are you taking?   I was told there is a bitumen road direct to Popanyinning store on the Wandering Road from the Pumprhies Bridge end

(eg/ Albany Hwy, turn off North Bannister to Wandering, go east through Wandering and when you come to a fork in the road (Pingelly Left, Pumphries Bridge/Narrogin to the right) take the Pumphries Bridge road then somewhere off that is the road to Popanyinning store/PO, that was according to the lady from the CWA that looks after Pumphfries Bridge campsite and CWA hall.   I might try coming that way on the way home to visit those at the Bridge if they are still there and go home that way.   The CWA lady is called Jaylea and her mobile is 0432 569 456 she lives along the road to Popa from the Bridge is anyone wants to check for sure.....

We'll post a bit over for you Mongrel, we were only going to feed it to the animals at Popanyinning....wink biggrin

Had a bit of trouble starting Carol's campervan this morning, ended up calling the RAC, being taken for a run at the moment by Carol, hopefully will be ok.   If not Plan B (my vehicle) will be used instead. hmm

We plan on leaving for Popanyinning in the morning, should get there about the same time as Bryan.   Bob and Rod should already be there (going today).

On Monday we may call into Pumphries Bridge, depending on whether anyone is still there, not too sure whether to stay there overnight or Wandering (Carol has rellies there).   If the campervan is playing up might go home direct via Brookton...
