One toe at a time

blankstare just about to set forth on our first trip, (well, in June smile ), trying to sort out an itinerary from Gold Coast to Mackay inland via either Roma or Kingaroy and back home down the coast over three weeks or so.  Anyway, I am Elizabeth, the director, and my gofer is Spud (Alan) and we are getting very close to reorganising our lives completely and taking off around this gorgeous country of ours for a year or two (with very regular visits home to see the grandbabies aww ).  We tow a Jayco Swan Outback with a Triton - at this stage, plan to upgrade in a year or two.

welcome to the gang Aemerf, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I was in Roma in the first half of 2013 and not impressed really, never went through Kingaroy so not sure about there, I reckon you could go nuts there though. Sorry but a dazelled wombat told me to say that smile

Thanks, all - glad to be here :). So, Roma boring - not surprised, Kingaroy only famous for Joh, might have to be via Miles and up the Leichardt Hwy onto Dawson and Emerald? Does that sound like a plan? :)

Hi Elizabeth and Spud,

We are selling up and hitting the road for a year or two, too! Also around June/July. We are new to the forum, but already found lots of useful info here. Look forward to seeing this great country and meeting like-minded people.

Cheers,

EbnFlo (Rod and Diane)

Good for you, EbnFlo (what a lovely name :)), yes, the forum is so helpful, isn't it? I have been following it for a while, with my mouth watering - so pleased that it is finally happening!!!! I am still working out the mechanics of my profile, signature, etc, guess I will get there eventually. Hopefully we will catch up some time.

Cheers
Aemerf (Liz and Spud). Now I am old, don't mind the abbreviation :)
