I saw that Cindy had commented on the Jokes thread. I checked at the time, it wasn't closed.

I notice this morning the Jokes thread has now been closed.

A great forum being ruined by immature ^&*#@. who either can't read rules, can't understand rules or don't give a damn about anyone else.

Enough said by me.

No, you haven't lost the plot.

Hi Ken, joke section is still showing for me, there is one joke that Cindy has closed, not the whole section.

Yep, I've lost it for sure, now it's closed again confuse

That's it, I'm going down the back yard to dig a hole then shoot myself blankstare

It wasn't the "Joke" section of the forum but a Thread in General titled ''Jokes".

(here's 2 cents worth hmm)

I dont spend much time trawling through this forum (I do like it, though mainly because I can find things of interest) and it was THIS thread that directed me to the 'jokes' thread (now closed)......etc

OK, I reckon ALL forum members are better contributers if we conform with the agreed rules of membership here, regarding our contributions and where they are placed, no exceptions (because there are too many members now for exceptions to be ok)......

IMHO, its an enormous task to maintain/administer/supervise a 'well-oiled', high usage webforum such as this (thank you again, Cindy) and so...... well  surely, the obligation of conformance is upon us, as members....with every post.

To act otherwise is not conducive to this forums progressive future!

(soapbox, now finished wink)

Well said, nobody is saying your can't add humour to a reply in the context of the topic as some are implying, just put jokes where they belong, in the Jokes Section, pretty simple really  smile

Hi all. The guts of it is for scribes, yes ALL of us, to lift our game and make the Admin teams' job as easy as possible. If you can't shuffle your own pack don't play cards.

Do any of the GNs ever trawl through other forums? I find this one to be far more organised than most. Thanks Cindy, but also I'm sure that most contributors to this forum are more careful about where they post than contributors to other forums. So lighten up, I think most of you are doing quite well in comparison to the rest of the online world.

IMHO banter is just that and doesn't belong under "jokes" anywayhmm

Nobody has suggested that banter or humour belongs in the jokes section, my comments from a post further down here; confuse

"Well said, nobody is saying your can't add humour to a reply in the context of the topic as some are implying, just put jokes where they belong, in the Jokes Section, pretty simple really  smile "

As for other forums, I found the opposite, step out of line where you post your subjects and they come down on you with a ton of bricks, usually they have more than one moderator or admin too.   I am talking about RV forums, not sure which ones you are talking about. hmm

That's what we are trying to do, and you've commented on the "final word" in the wrong thread, but that's no surprise, your attitude is the one that is dragging this forum down.
