Have put on the malwarebytes and seems to have fixed the problem
Only question now is how did it get past my trend maximum security, waiting to hear from them

Trend got back to me and advised me to get rid of any other securuty software as it may interfere with trend and also to get rid of any unnecessary toolbars
At present working ok

Yep, Trend Micro don't like other antimalware products to be installed because they don't want you saving money by using free software. Trend Micro will make you uninstall other antimalware before it lets you install Trend Micro. Easily reinstalled after installing Trend Micro though.
I used trend for a number of years, had a problem, phoned their tech support only to be told that I would need to pay $199 for them to have a look at my system via remote connection, I removed Trend from all of my computers.
Thought that I had fixed my pop up & green highlighting problem by uninstalling Lyricsay.
Then the unwanted pop up on the LHS of the screen returned.
After reading the other posts here on the subject I installed Malwarebytes & ran a scan, then deleting all 30 'risks' found.
Seems OK now.
ps. Am using Google Chrome now as browser . Good news there too as I was having trouble with the Firefox sourced Flash Player? stopping continually. The one with Google Chrome works well. Must look into that one day.
