RE: How different are humans and apes?

Actually the redheaded bloke on the right looks like my brother in law.

Brilliant photo, can imagine what sort of mischief these two blokes would get up to. It wasn't us, we just been sitting here cruising, we don't know where the steaks for the barby are, they are saying.

Not my photo, but agree it is brilliant seeing the interaction between them.  Here are another couple;

I stand corrected.

Cheers,

I wonder if Apes would leave their young in the heat in danger like 45 humans have done this week, leaving kids in locked cars,with 5 days over 40c.disbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

Not all Apes native pepper.  Chimps are known to wage war on each other, steal each others' babies, and Cannibalise each other.

Cheers,

Sheba.

 Hate to be a pedantic PITA Native Pepper, but:

Depend on which version of pedantic you are referring to and not sure what you're being. Your first link describes the semantics of the word Ape, nothing to do with lifestyle or attitude.

Your second link, supports what I posted, if you had taken to time to read it. What I posted is a very well known anthropological fact, not hearsay, made up or denied.

It's like the difference between evolving people and ideologues, one accepts reality and it's many variants, the other denies reality, demands fantasy is real and is prepared to go to any lengths to prove their delusions are accepted. Even to the point of demanding what they have said or claimed, is the opposite to what is actually written and fact.

There are many varieties of ape species, monkeys and gorilla's are only two. All have different approaches to life, according to their evolutionary understanding. Gorilla's are herbivores, quite and mainly very gentle. Monkeys omnivores and display the characteristics of all meat eaters, noisy, violent self centred and prone to psychological upheaval.

I have no idea why you posted what you did, when it supports what I posted. But thanks for your support.

The "Bonobo" Chimps are an interesting variety;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonobo

Some pic's; https://www.google.com.au/search?q=bonobo+chimps&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=vA_aUuyUDcOiigeU-oHAAw&sqi=2&ved=0CDQQsAQ&biw=1067&bih=496

Interesting they use the missionary position (among others) for sex.

I was just saying... chimps are apes.

But monkey's aren't

OK, reading back.. you didn't say chimps weren't apes.. it was my wrong interpretation of what you said.

What the rest of that waffle was about i'm not sure though?

"strangelets" what a wonderful word. Can we use it to describe people do you think?

There are other things you could worry about if you want Dorian, Yellowstone supervolcano erupting, pollution, asteroid collision to name a few. But you won't change anything by worrying, so I try to restrict my worrying to things I can influence (very fewhmm).

I read about and watch scientific info on these things because it's interesting, but I choose to assume we'll deal with it all when we must.

And speaking of pollution, did you see there's a school in Beijing that is entirely enclosed by a "bubble" and all the air inside is filtered! I can just see the children in 100 years time watching footage of us actually living OUTSIDE and considering it quaint and primitive.

Hey, if scientists do create a black hole does that mean we will all finally disappear up our own fundamentals?biggrinbiggrin

I could care less. Let the c*ckroaches inherit the earth. Maybe they'll evolve into something intelligent. According to the projected life of our sun, they'll have 2.8 billion years to do it.
