Channel 7 This Day Tonight - Barna Mia Sancturary - Dryandra Woodlands Forrest - S/E of WA

Compliments of Wombat, this is on tonight on CH7 at 6.30 in Perth, not sure about other States;

From Wombat yesterday: "there is a story on TodayTonight tomorrow night  (9/01/2014) about Barna Mia Sanctuary 1830 if anybody wants to have a look at the program."   So it is on tonight.

Barna Mia Sanctuary can be accessed from several place in the area, including the Yornaning Dam area.   Bookings are a must and numbers for the tour are limited, as are the nights they are on.  Bookings can be made by phone or by visiting Narrogin Tourist Info Centre.

Not sure if they allow public viewing etc, maybe someone else knows.

Vic, I don't think they allow public visits.

I tried to get the link from Ch 7 but they do not list it on their site.

We got it OK in Perth Jim, on CH7 at 6.30 PM, a couple of segments on before it but it was towards the end, not very much though.

Getting back to Barna Mia, seeing the Bilbies there was fantastic.  Last time I saw them before then was in a breeding sanctuary at Charters Towers.

Thanks for trying to find out about Perup Sanctuary, maybe Barna Mia is the only open to the public by appointment.

Tried to get a link to last nights story from CH7 Today Tonight website but only showing links to those dated 8th January so might have to wait a day or two for the 9th Jan story about Perup Sanctuary....
