I have found the Search bar on the Forum and enjoy it, However!!!!!
When there are more than 5 posts on a subject, how do you scan down to see the next 5 and the next etc. I only see the 1st 5. I know that this has been answered before but, Seniors Moment, cannot remember what the posts where called.
I posted this query to webmaster in June 2013. I was wondering the same thing. I'll look forward to replies here as well.
Hi. just wondering if I am using the search section correctly? i use it often but sometimes dont find recent posts on topics although I thought I had remembered reading things recently on the general forum? an example, today searching silver city hwy, there are two recent and two old posts, but above the answers ( can't remember exact number) maybe 18 search results. Do those 18 search results refer to silver city hwy or something else? If refer to silver city hwy, where are those other replies? Hope you understand what I mean??
Hi Gooba53, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, the search function on this forum is not very sophisticated ... I think it only looks at the subject titles of threads rather than their content. So, if a person posts information about the silver city hwy, but titles the thread 'A scenic journey', the search function would not pick it up. With the 'Advanced search' link, you can specify which section of the forum you'd like to search and the name of the person who posted it, but not much else. I know that some forum members use 'Google' to search the forum and maybe use key words like 'silver city hwy the Grey Nomads Forum' in their Google search. I hope that helps. Best wishes, Cindy
