ok here's something I was just pondering on,,, basic 4x4, lets say a land cruiser or Nissan patrol something like that,, lets assume that it already has, twin batteries, draw system in the back, maybe an in built fresh water tank in the back, roof rack, uhf radio, some sort of gps system, lets assume that it's not going to be used for extreme off road or anything like that, maybe the odd bush track or creek crossing perhaps a drive along a beach somewhere, so what other "accessories" would you put on,
It was a topic of discussion between me and my older brother, we both listed a heap of stuff but really is more better ? or is less better? I guess if you've got it and don't need it is better than needing it and not having it, what does everyone think ??

SOMETIMES YA JUST GOTTA TAKE YOUR COLTHES OFF AND ROLL IN THE MUD
Me.. A rescue Kit..
If you think you Might attempt a Creek Crossing.. For Peace of mind a Snorkel..
For the Sand.. A compressor to get the tire Back up to Pressure[ Assuming you have done the right think and let the tire down to get best traction..]
A roof mounted Solar Panel to charge up the Batteries if you run a Fridge.. 120W+ of Panel/Regulator..
[ Actually read somewhere that a Good Solar Panel/regulator is Better than the second Battery[Cheaper], you just need to keep the charge up to the Main battery]
But that is Me..
That would be my Bare minimum.. with what you have already said..

I would definitely have a Steel Bull Bar (They are stronger) for the occasion that skippy wants to dance with you. Fitting a 12,000lb Dynamic rope winch for the occasion that you free camp in a bog so you can get out along with the rest of what you said. We have 4WD not because we are going 4 wheel driving but because we can go 4 wheel driving if needed. As well as the obvious weight towing capacity of the vehicle. Long Range Fuel Tanks. We carry 220 litres when full and fill at major towns and then splash if needed to get somewhere. E.g. Ceduna to Norseman we need to put about 50 litres in somewhere, normally Mundrabilla or Eucla, about 15 cents cheaper than towns before and after. The cost for a second tank about $800 but it will pay for itself quickly.
