The Rocket hi

After you have cleaned the freezer , wipe it out with good old vanilla essants not the right spelling and then close the door, getting the inside temp down and latter open the door, the frozen smell will fall out the freezer.

This is what we did continually with our transport frig vans, going from one product to another. Trick was to open the frig does with the motor still going to blow the stale smell right out the door just before you got to the next client.

Fresh raw chicken to fruit and veg or fish to chocolate. We had also a freshener but that was mainly to hide a smell from the client.

Hope this helps. Cheers

I use a little Bicarbonate of Soda on a soft cloth and wipe over all the surfaces taking care not to scratch the plastic bits. Bicarb can be a bit abrasive. Wash it all out with soapy water, dry then a quick wipe with Vanilla escence. You can also put in a saucer with some coffee granules (Instant) for a few days, it attracts moisture and odours too.

Wipe out with a cap of vanilla essence in half a litre of water or straight lemon juice.

@Rocket

Get some nescafe and trow a few lids full around in the fridge or the freezer part

that is what the removalists did 30 years ago when we moved form Europe to Australia

never had a smell they even put the dirty coffee cups in there

was nearly 10 weeks before I got my stuff in Australia

Give it a shot mate

When the smell goes out just leave a bowl of bicarb in the fridge - it helps with general fridgy smells.

Just a quick comment re Smelly fridge.

Years ago when preparing a little old lady for a removal ,she asked what to do with the fridge. We explained if she left it running she could pack the cool items and the freezer stuff in an Esky just before we packed it in the truck. Or, she could take all the stuff and get a friend to keep it for her till she was in her new place. We advised her to wash and dry the fridge and put some coffee granules around in a saucer to keep the fridge fresh.

Imagine our surprise when we arrived on the day and went to move the fridge. There were twenty or so Tea bags tied to the racks.

She told us she couldn't remember if we had said Tea or Coffee.
