Yes, Milo, it was hard to organise at this time of year.
Thank you to everyone who has sent condolences. The funeral went well. Over 110 folk attended. Mum ended up enjoying seeing all those whom she hadn't seen in ages.
The only down side was the funeral director not asking us what we wanted to do with the flowers (he was cremated) - Mum would have liked to have been able to enjoy them but without asking they sent them to the crematorium. A waste of beautiful flowers.
Now, it will be a slow day by day recovery. I've encouraged her to sleep, cry, talk whenever she wants. Not much else can be done while we wait for the death certificate.
All the best to everyone else. And to you milo as you have Dad's funeral on Friday.

That is sad they did not offer you the flowers for your mum. My brothers were given to his daughter. It was nice that your mum could see how much he was liked and that she could catch up with friends. I could not open my mums death cert for days and got my 3 brothers and we opened it together....that was so hard. It is really a time thing, all the best to you all.
