Making up ones mind - well mine anyway!!

Just don't know what to do - I really want to get out on the road and have a look around but I would be going solo.  If I don't go soon I will be too old to see it all (I don't think you can by a gopher mh!!  lol).    Hubby doesn't travel - it would mean leaving him, kids (grownup), and grandys behind.  I suppose it is the unknown if something should happen also - mmmmm  just not sure.  Has anyone else had this dilemma?   no

Fear of the unknown - of uncertainty - is part of the human condition. The only way to conquer fear of the unknown is to make it known. :)

Nelly, before you spend lotsa $ on a caravan or motorhome, why not try a short trip in a rented one, or stay in cabins in caravan parks? Would give you a chance to assess whether you really want to leave hubby behind, and whether hes happy to let you go.

Thankyou to everyone for your replies. Gerty I have been travelling with sister and her hubby, brother and his wife but unfortunately they are unable to travel all the time - I am either the third or the fifth wheel depends who comes along lol. We go for 2/3 weeks at a time once a year at the moment but I am thinking a couple of months or maybe longer depends where I go. I have a slide-on at the moment but if I decided to do this I am thinking a motorhome/campervan would be more secure for me - just have to make that decision.

It's your life Nelly and yours alone, you've done your bit raising kids and being a wife, now it's a bit of "my time". If your husband don't want to travel that's his problem not yours. Get out and see our wonderful country while you can, solo or not.
