It was a lovely surprise when Doug dropped in to see us today when visiting Melbourne. After a wee cup of tea we wandered through some of the north east suburbs of Melbourne discovering old memories.
It was an absolute pleasure David and Carol and a very big thankyou for that trip down memory lane while "Wandering".
As I said to you both it would have been at least 30 years since in that area and we even ventured into unchartered land, well for me anyway. I must admit I was keeping an eye out going through some of that territory for the boys in blue or even worse some gang jump out in front of us with tommy guns
I certainly saw how the other half live in some of that area and I tell you that for free. I still like base camp and the playground though.
On the way home I decided not to go on the freeway and took a longer way and continued down memory lane. By the time I got close to base camp 9.30pm it was darker than dark so even got the new spot lights adjusted on the front of the tug, shut the front gate!! Were they bright, it was like daylight ahead, very happy is this camper.
Thankyou David and Carol for a great afternoon, as it is when we always catch up, have a great Xmas and enjoy BUT,
