Why go back to the Dark Ages?
Stick with the best.
Prodigy - Prodigy - Prodigy.

Hi Jenny and Barry,

if you have been towing with a Prodigy and are switching to a Redarc beware, I am not sure if it is true of all teh Redarc's but certainly the ones with remote head units are not progressive, they are either on or off. This will act very differently a progressive unit like a Prodigy.

Barry , I bought my TEKONSHA P3 PRODIGY on E-Bay and was delivered within 3 days......$159. Hope the Redarc is what you need and is OK.

Have you tried the 12v shop on corner of Kewdale Ave and Orrong Road.

As top selling items I wouldn't have thought that Tekonsha controllers were difficult to come by in Perth.
But if you can't get them then consider the rebadged Hayman Reese controllers.
The HR P3 is a Tekonsha Prodigy P3, and the HR Guardian IQ is a Teknosha Primus IQ.

I am surprised some of the caravan sales yards in the southern suburbs with parts and accessories shops didn't have them, eg; Coromal, Jayco, George Day or Camec in Welshpool.

Must be a run on them confuse

That's interesting about the re-badged ones Ozjohn smile

Vic.
HR had to do something as their own controllers were old technology that no longer met customer requirements.
To keep up with market expectations that HR are a quality brand, new and better controllers were needed.
Thus a deal with Tekonsha. First for the Primus IQ which became the HR Guardian IQ and then a couple of years latter for the Prodigy P3 to be the HR P3.

interesting ozjohn - As Prodigy was my first choice I have removed the prodigy from the Navara and the redarc can be put in its place. I have been happy with the way it worked and as we are getting a bigger/heavier van need to feel confident with the set up

Time for another look at why proportional controllers are much better than the outmoded ones like the Redarc one.
