i have now found and cured the problem with the poor water pressure in our sterling, have removed the check valve imediatly behind the inlet connection and replced it with a push fit connector therefore increasing the flow into the van part of the check valve is still working where the hose connects to stop water running back our shower is now really good wifey very happy
