The main card was down in Techies, I thought that they had kissed and made up.

oh dear dazren, i have heard the story all week and just shake my head, and he can forget about the ropes and being tied up
if i have to tie him up it will be to stop the man working so hard and slowing down .

other than that i sit and listen to his stories and just grin :)

This thread is about a discussion Oldtracker123 and I had on the Techies Corner...
We are both big kids and appreciate each others knowledge..
I am only new to this forum as Peter pointed out but it doesn't make me young.(I wish I was).
I 100% appreciate Peters opinion and his knowledge..
I also will be there to defend him if anyone doubts what he says when I know he is right..
On the thread refered to he was wrong and I took him to task as did the OP of this thread..
It was no biggie and if I ever post something wrong I expect to be taken to task..
Anytime I am wrong I will be the first to admit it ..Ohhh and I am often wrong (Oldtimers)

I think the reason Technical forums are successful is when all the brains available to the forum come together to bring the best advice..
and with this forum we have available to us the very best of the best..

At least I am not in trouble this time.
One of the reasons I don't post anything on open forums that they can get their teeth in.
It is a brave man (or foolish) that posts much in the techi corners of forums as there are always the die hards (I am always right listen to me) who have to have the last word and push their self processed wisdom.
Just a shame this forum does not have an IGNORE as it is a handy tool on forums as I just mark them as ignore and their post just sit there as a one liner and you don't have to look at it.
Regards
Brian

Gday..

AHA ... but each of us does have an IGNORE button .... do not subscribe to the thread, if you have commented then do not click the radio button EMAIL ME and then just don't open that thread ever again.

Works for me

Cheers - John

Getting info from head to written word doesn't always come out as you thought either..
Esp when working life was with spanners or hands on ..

But jokes aside, what you are saying is correct, and I fully agree. Irrespective of one's qualifications, one must always keep an open mind. That is the way to learn and stay up to date. Something I learnt many years ago as an Electrician and especially so flying airplanes...
