I've been wondering what I could use to secure my rolled up hose during transit so it doesn't unravel. So today while I was shopping at Woolies, guess what I spotted? The ideal solution! A dog collar!

I use Velcro for lots of things too, and a variety of sizes of twist ties. I got a set of larger ones from the Reject Shop, which are covered with foam. Also good for the power leads. Sorry, I can't produce a picture. The caravan isn't here.

We use an old pillow case - just roll it up and shove it inside. For the sullage hose we use an old chook food bag.

I use the smallest size of those cheap bags from the cheapie shops. The striped ones with a zip across the top. Perfect size.

Don't forget to use a hose connector to join the hose while in transit Gary. Then it won't let the last bit of water out wherever you store it. We learnt the hard way. Hubby left the hose on MY bed while we left van at our son's place for a few days. We came back to a wet bed - there was a bit of water left in the hose. I was not amused. Briche told us about the connector tip.

I use a green supermarket bag. I carry 2 sections of hose, each 15m long. in 2 bags.

IMHO the best solution is suitable sized conduit fixed under the van to slide straight sections of water & sullage hose into.

I use these toggled bungee cords.

Always fit joiners to the hoses to prevent leakage.
