Number plate

Anyone here have a personalised number plate on their caravan? Put one on our van today, a Christmas present to myself. Goes with my tug.

Pete

Its great to have your own number plates, or wheel covers.

Just one problem about posting it on the WWW... .. you can be traced by your number plate, so that people will know your name and address, then if you post that you are away from home, it creates a security risk.

G'day Pete/Wolly and Pete, as soon as I saw' Bunyip', I just knew you had to be from the Gawler S.A. area mate..& Roseworthy is only a sparrow fart away in distance......for those not in the know, that's the name of the local Gawler paper..'The Bunyip' or at least was, when I lived there, in the past, for some 19 years...I guess having your own number plates means never having to look out through the caravan park office at our vehicle when registering, just to be sure of the Rego as "Senior Moments" happen to us all...Lol.....Hoo Roo

I'm lucky to have regular plates with letters/numbers that are easy to remember. As to being away from home, once I hit the road my home will be PJ 24/7. The only security risk will be having my porta potti pinched while I'm sky diving or wresting a croc.

Yep, have pp on tug, will not say the number but in the centre of the plate is a wombat from the RSPCA tv ad.

Well Golddetectornomad, Larry, I do remember putting your adverts together for "The Bunyip" and it is still going. I left them in 2000 and started my own print business in the same premises thanks to the Barnets. Will PM you soon.

Gerty, Rosey, you are right about being traced etc, with facebook, our business web page, forums, our ID and info is easily found, and it just a risk we take as like a lot of things in life. Just do a google on yourself 'Gerty Dancer' see what comes up!

My wife and I have had matched PP's on our two cars for just over 26 years. Two years ago, we decided to downgrade to a one car family, and sold her car, and I bought myself a new car (I'm now her full-time "personal chauffeur") - her PP's were 'parked' (we own them for life). When we bought the Aliner a year and a half ago, we 'attached' her PP's to the Aliner - so tug and van have matched PP's.
