My best friend hitched a ride with a lunatic who crashed the car at 160km/h. They were both killed. The crash rated three lines in the newspaper.

Tributes flowed thick and fast for Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and JP Richardson (The Big Bopper) when they died in a plane crash in 1959 - all the pilot, Roger Peterson, received was the blame.

-Although the Mirror was most likely going the ghoulish treatment to increase circulation and otherwise might not have cared.  Bless attending police and emergency workers who really do care.
