It is in part your phone being Smart, and the Forum website knowing you are using a Smartphone.

It is a feature of Activeboard Mobile (Activeboard being the Host of the Forum) which is what you access via your Smartphone.

I have been using that feature occasionally on my Lumia 800 Windows Smartphone for the last 18 months. However, with this phone you can go a couple of steps further.

After opening the Recent Posts on the Main Menu page, the Recently Active Topics page is revealed and this page can be pinned to the Windows Phones start page.

So when turning on the phone it is then just one tap to see the Forums latest posts.

Shirley just came home so I played with her Iphone 4s and found that the Forums Recently Active Topics page can be also be added to the Iphone's Home Screen.

When I use my phone and Google The Grey Nomads I am led to menu options which include "Recent Posts" .. very useful while following the commentary right across the site. Is this just my Smart Phone being extra smart, or am I missing a setting option here on the site?

When I google the grey nomads I get a choice between the GN website and the GN forum.

If I choose forum it opens up at the Main Forum menu ( where there is the list of sub-forums).

That is using an iPhone with the Safari browser

 I have never seen any menu option for 'recent posts' however from the main forum page if I click on "User Details' I get a chronological list of all recent posts across the whole forum. That's the first thing I do each time I visit here.

Thanks for the "two-in one" tip Ron  ...  I have   A/ learned that I can pin a web site to my 4S phone front page and   B/ done so with GN Forum
