I had mine installed by the local aircon fella.

Just ensure you have a good bracket to hold the outside unit as we give it more vibration than in a home.

Hi,
Give Mike from Simply Air con a call on 0452622530, He came out and did some repairs for me, but why I reccomend him is that he is a 'can do' person and will go the extra.

Cheers
George

If you are fairly handy with tools, carry out the installation of the units yourself as this is the this is what takes the most time, then when that is complete, get the electrical work and plumbing and gassing done by a refrigeration technician.

A couple of things to make sure you do, do not mount the main unit on rubber mounts as the hold down feet were never meant to support the unit just keep it in place, support the unit across the entire base of the unit on a rubber pad, these units are meant to sit on concrete base so a steel plate needs to be provided for the unit to sit on.

For the inside unit, this is supported on bracket and does not like to be bounced around so if possible provide additional support under the unit to supplement the holding bracket, the strength of the holding bracket may differ on different brands, also make sure the front of the internal unit can not come open while travelling I used white tape to stop this part opening.

All of the above has been my experience since installing a Fujitsu 1.5hp unit 8 years ago, but the unit has continued to perform well and has never failed to cool or heat, but I have encountered the above problems, I would install the same again if this unit finally failed.

The all up cost for the supply and installation came to $1200

Cheers

David

If you needed the whole thing done and could not do some of the install yourself then give Peter Groom at Truelux 5th wheelers in Kilsyth a call, he is very accommodating and has the local fridgy and sparky on hand to do the necessary.

He was doing some mods on a US 5'er last time we were there at the factory for our service.

His guys would do an excellent job as they did with ours and come highly recommended but they would not be cheap cheap It would also come with any relevant paperwork etc. for electrical compliance etc.
