Sydney to Albury spots...

Hi all,

As previously posted, we are heading to Victoria in our bus.

About mid way between Port Macquarie and Taree so far and loving it!

Going around Sydney on to the Hume, so if anyone has some spots to recommend from Sydney onwards it would be a great help.

Have had some small issues due to the size of the rig, but nothing to fuss about.

Some gorgeous places we have seen and hopefully many more to come,

Stay safe,

Hey Bill and Lesley good free camp on the river at Jugiong between Yass and Gundagai, water and toilets and a good coffee shop across the road.

Beside the swimming pool at Gunning. Hot showers, toilets and a couple of coffee shops and pubs a short walk away. Oh and it's free. Could also detour through Wagga - Wilks Park on Hampden Ave (Camps 7 #696). Toilets and dump point. Short walk to shops (including Woolies and an awesome fruit shop) and everything else you could possibly want within a few minutes drive.

Yeah! We have stayed there several times... amenities sooo clean. Last time there was a big No Pets sign, so it no use to doggy-people anymore.

Hi Bill & Lesley,

Probably hard to beat a free camping spot called "Sandy Beach" only 3 or 4 k's from the township of Wantabadgery which is 15-20 k off the Hume Highway on the Wagga side between Gundagai and Holbrook. Beautiful quiet large grassy spot on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river.

Has toilets but nothing else. No problems getting a large bus in there.

Enjoy

Jeff

 Cheers nomadic 1,

Will stay at  Gunning for an overnighter on our way down.

On another note and also replying to bobstar 52, is the Gundagai River part definitely a no go for pets?...

Its a lovely spot

Cheers Jan

Jan -Ed,

Could you tell me exactly where the spot at Jugiong is please?

Ta.

You just come in on the turn off to Jugiong from the Hume.  Follow the road in, you will pass a BP servo on your right,

keep going until you see the blue rest area sign and you will turn in on your left.

Pass the amenities, over the cattle grid......and then pick your spot.

Very easy to find

Cheers Jan
